First of all, we have the general "Berlin Chat", where both guests and registered members are welcome and can chat with each other.

Another themed chat is the "Music Chat" - here, of course, it's not just about music from Berlin, but about exchanging ideas about what music you're listening to at the moment. In the best case, people with the same taste can be found here and a future concert visit in Berlin can be planned in the chat! In the "Ü30" the "older" Berliners can be among themselves and chat about the city and its features.

Last but not least, there is the "English Chat" - also quite a self-explanatory name. Berlin is an international metropolis and has visitors and residents from all parts of the world. And of course they also want to and should like to chat with us. Therefore, there is of course also an "English Chatroom" here.

However, you cannot choose a name that has already been registered by a member and behind your chat name it says that you are a guest. Also, you cannot use all the features of the chat.

A lot! First of all, your chat name is yours! Nobody else can chat with the same username as you.

You also have the option to upload your own avatar that will be displayed throughout the chat and create a profile where you can introduce yourself, describe your interests and link your social media accounts.

As a registered chatter, you can also send private messages to other chatters that only they can read. You also have access to the members-only chat room and can post YouTube videos, audio recordings, doodles and more to the chat.

Well, this should not happen. If you get the error message "Password protected username. Please log in with password.", the solution is fortunately quite simple:
In the chat login window, click on the yellow field with the white key and then enter your password for your chat account in the new field that appears.

As a registered user in our Berlin chat you can post videos from YouTube, Twitch and Vimeo as well as tracks from SoundCloud and Mixcloud into the chat window. First click on the icon and then directly next to it on the play button.

Guests cannot post media to the chat.

To change your avatar or profile click on the three dots in the top left corner of the chat window and then on the icon. There you can select or upload a new avatar. You can also add your motto, information and interests or link your social media profiles.

Guests do not have a chat profile and therefore do not have access to these features.

To enable or disable the sound in the chat, click three dots in the upper left corner of the chat window and then click the icon at the bottom. There you can now turn the sounds on or off and make other settings.
